Cinema Audio Society - Parade of Production Sound Carts Seminar
Cinema Audio Society President, David E. Fluhr, CAS, today announced the latest Cinema Audio Society Seminar. “Back by popular demand is the CAS Parade of Production Sound Carts Seminar which continues the Cinema Audio Society’s commitment to bring to the industry, the public and the next generation of filmmakers educational events at no charge that demonstrate our dedication to the advancement of sound,” said Fluhr.
“CAS board member Paul Vik Marshall, CAS, is creating what promises to be an informative and interactive event by displaying and discussing the various and uniquely individual sound cart set-ups and bag rigs required for recording the various show formats: film, television, commercials and reality TV. This seminar was first offered in 2011 and was an incredibly successful event with Production and Post-Production Sound Mixers, students and recent film school alumni, film school faculty, independent filmmakers and general public in attendance. This year we are including a ‘Green’ component by asking participants and attendees to bring their used batteries for recycling.”
Currently the following mixers are scheduled to appear: James Berek, CAS–Glenn Berkovitz, CAS–Devendra Cleary, CAS–Seth Cooper, CAS–Scott Farr, CAS–Seth Gilbert–Gary Gossett, CAS–Brett Grant-Grierson, CAS–Stephen Grothe, CAS–Don Hale, CAS–Will Hansen, CAS–Paul Vik Marshall, CAS–Steve Morantz, CAS–Edward L. Moskowitz, CAS–Phil Palmer, CAS–Richard Ragon–Andy Rovins, CAS–Kevin Sorensen and Jeff Wexler, CAS.
The seminar will also feature exhibits from: Backstage Carts, Chinhda, K-Tek, Location Sound, PSC, Solar On Set, Studio Carts and Trew Audio.
